Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has joined Hyderabad Kingsmen in Pakistan, strengthening their squad ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 fixture against Karachi Kings.
The franchise confirmed the arrival of the hard-hitter batter through social media, posting a photograph of the cricketer in his hotel room with the caption announcing his presence.
The right-handed batter has represented Australia in 129 T20 internationals, scoring 2,897 runs at a strike rate of 158.42, including five centuries and twelve half-centuries.
He has also contributed with the ball, claiming 49 wickets through off-spin, providing Australia with valuable versatility across multiple international limited-overs campaigns.
Maxwell T20 career includes 502 T20 matches worldwide, where he has scored 10,986 runs at a strike rate of 154.16, alongside 196 wickets.
His experience spans the Big Bash League, Indian Premier League, The Hundred and Vitality Blast, establishing him as one of the most seasoned global performers.
This season marks Maxwell’s debut in the Pakistan Super League, where he is expected to provide significant batting strength and leadership to Hyderabad Kingsmen.
The Kingsmen, captained by Marnus Labuschagne, remain winless after four matches, holding zero points and a negative net run rate of minus 1.558.
They currently occupy seventh position in the PSL 11 points table, ahead of Rawalpindi, who are eighth after five defeats and a net run rate of minus 1.864.
