The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has launched the Insaf Female Education Card, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering women and providing free higher education to orphan students across the province. The program was officially inaugurated by Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi during a ceremony at Frontier Women College in Peshawar.
Under this initiative, 55,000 female students will receive support for free higher education, with the program being rolled out in phases to ensure maximum outreach. CM Afridi also announced that orphan students who pass the MDCAT exam will be granted full scholarships to pursue higher studies.
“Empowering women through education is our top priority,” said Chief Minister Afridi. “Educated women are the foundation of a prosperous and progressive society.”
He described the Insaf Female Education Card as a symbol of gender equality, dignity, and opportunity for women in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The government has also directed the launch of a new internship program for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree holders to help bridge the gap between education and employment. Officials say these reforms aim to make KP a model province for women’s education and youth empowerment.
