Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 12 major development projects worth over Rs25 billion in Mansehra, aimed at improving public services and accelerating regional development.
The projects are focused on key sectors including clean drinking water, healthcare, education, sports, and infrastructure, with the objective of improving living standards and bringing underdeveloped areas into the development mainstream.
Among the key initiatives are the Rs18.5 billion Mansehra Gravity Flow Water Supply Scheme, Rs2 billion Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Rs1.8 billion Achhar Nala Dam project, and Rs1 billion Thakra Stadium upgradation project.
Other projects include the upgradation of BHU Sandesar, establishment of a Rescue Station in Pano Dheri, a Degree College for Boys, a Cath Lab, allocation of land for a graveyard, development of Kotkay Park, the Mansehra Water Supply Scheme, and establishment of Tehsil Tanawal.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Sohail Afridi said the projects are a gift for the people of Mansehra and will bring meaningful improvements to daily life.
He said the provincial government is committed to balanced development across all districts and ensuring fair use of public resources.
The chief minister emphasized that public funds are being directed toward public welfare, adding that reforms in health, education, clean drinking water, and sports sectors will continue across the province.
He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to including remote and neglected regions in the development process while ensuring transparency, merit, and quality standards in project execution.
