The Lahore education board is introducing an electronic answer sheet system for Class 9 and 10 exams, starting with computer science papers. This digital system will allow students’ answers to be scanned and marked online, letting examiners grade papers from home. Officials say this move will save time and bring greater transparency to the examination process.
Each question in a paper will now be evaluated by a separate examiner. For instance, a five-question paper will be checked by five different examiners. Authorities believe this approach will reduce errors and prevent any bias in grading.
Students will need to write answers according to specific question numbers on the E-Sheet. This structured format ensures smooth scanning and accurate digital marking.
The board secretary highlighted that storing records online will strengthen transparency and improve overall marking standards. Officials also expect a drop in complaints related to rechecking, thanks to the secure digital record system.
