In a major financial milestone, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has achieved record revenue of Rs3.47 billion through its latest public property auction held at the Expo Centre, marking the highest-ever single auction collection in the authority’s history.
The auction featured 36 residential and commercial plots along with sites for public utilities, health and education facilities, sports complexes, a petrol pump, and lease rights for a cafeteria and salon. According to LDA officials, this was the fourth public auction of the year, reflecting a strong investor response and improved revenue performance.
The highlight of the event was a commercial plot at the Finance and Trade Centre in Johar Town, which fetched Rs1.29 billion, making it the largest single bid in the auction. A leasehold site for a petrol pump at Liberty Market also secured Rs115.2 million, while a marquee site in Johar Town brought in Rs45 million per annum.
LDA representatives stated,
“This record-breaking auction demonstrates growing investor confidence and underscores Lahore’s potential as a hub for commercial and residential development.”
The LDA noted that funds raised from the auction will be reinvested into city development projects, infrastructure improvements, and urban facilities, aligning with its mission to make Lahore a more livable and business-friendly city.
