The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has temporarily suspended the operations of the Lak Pass Radar in Mastung from July 13 to August 8, 2026, according to a NOTAM issued by the aviation body.
During this period, surveillance coverage within a 250-nautical-mile radius of the Lak Pass Radar will be unavailable for air traffic monitoring across the affected airspace, the NOTAM stated.
The advisory explained that alternative surveillance systems will be used to ensure that air traffic services provided by the Lahore and Karachi control centers continue to operate normally during the suspension.
Additionally, non-radar air traffic control procedures will be applied in the affected airspace whenever necessary to keep all flight operations running smoothly and without disruption.
