Samsung has begun laying the groundwork for its next flagship phones, and early indications suggest a significant chipset upgrade. The company has now confirmed the Exynos 2600, a processor widely expected to power parts of the Galaxy S26 lineup.
Official information remains limited for now. However, a new leak is offering an early look at what Samsung is preparing. According to the source, it shared several hardware details on X, shedding light on the chip’s architecture and performance focus.
According to the leak, the Exynos 2600 is built on a 2nm fabrication process and uses a 10-core CPU design. It reportedly includes one prime core clocked at 3.9GHz, three high-performance cores running at 3.25GHz, and six mid-performance cores operating at 2.75GHz.
An AMD Juno GPU will handle graphics duties with a clock speed of 985MHz. The GPU is said to support OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 3.0, and Vulkan 1.3, pointing to strong gaming and graphics capabilities.
Recent reports suggest Samsung may ship the Exynos 2600 inside the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ in select markets. Still, final confirmation will come later. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 series in late January. That launch should clarify how the chip compares with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, and Apple’s A19 Pro.
