The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a significant increase in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices, effective April 1, 2026.
According to the notification, the price of an 11.8 kg LPG cylinder has jumped by Rs. 923.71, bringing the new price to Rs. 3,101, compared to Rs. 2,177 in March.
On a per-ton basis, LPG prices have risen sharply to Rs. 262,817, up from Rs. 184,536 last month — marking an increase of Rs. 78,280.
OGRA attributed the hike to rising global crude oil prices and an increase of 44% in Saudi Aramco’s Contract Price (CP). Despite a slight decrease in the US dollar exchange rate, the overall impact has led to a 34.66% rise in LPG consumer prices.
The per kilogram price of LPG has increased by Rs. 78.28, adding further pressure on consumers already facing rising energy costs.
