NetEase officially unveiled the first details for Marvel Rivals Season 6 during the 2025 Game Awards. Titled “Night at the Museum”, the new season arrives on January 16, 2026. The update confirms the long-awaited arrival of Deadpool, alongside the monster hunter Elsa Bloodstone.
Deadpool finally joins Marvel Rivals next month. However, fans should note a significant change. Neither Ryan Reynolds nor Nolan North voices this version of “the Merc with a Mouth”. While currently unofficial, speculation suggests Alejandro Saab (known as Rafa in Borderlands 4) provides the voice.
The Season 6 trailer also confirmed Elsa Bloodstone. She appears at the end of the teaser, taking a shot at Deadpool. Her specific in-game role remains unconfirmed, but her inclusion matches earlier rumours sparked by the Season 5 gallery card text.
Season 6 continues the narrative directly from Season 5. Previously, X-Men favourites Gambit and Rogue attempted to steal a prized artefact from the “Collector’s Museum”. In response, the Collector hired Deadpool to handle the situation.
Naturally, things went wrong. Instead of stopping the thieves, Deadpool opened every cage in the collection. This act turned the museum into an intergalactic disaster zone. Elsa Bloodstone now enters the scene, likely to clean up the chaos caused by Wade Wilson.
While fans wait for January, Marvel Rivals remains active. Season 5.5 launched yesterday, December 12. This follows a resurgence in player numbers, driven by the recent Marvel Zombies-style PvE mode.
Additionally, the game is currently celebrating its first anniversary. Players can log in now to earn premium currency and unlock a legendary skin for Jeff the Land Shark. The 18v18 “Annihilation“ game mode also remains a major draw on the “Grand Garden” map, allowing for chaotic team deathmatches with duplicate heroes.
