Matriculation annual examinations will begin from March 27 in Lahore, with authorities declaring 14 examination centres as sensitive.
According to sources, the sensitive centres include Government ND Islamia High School Ichhra, Government High School Burki, Government Science College Burki, Government High School Attoke Awan, Government High School Jallo Morr, Chung, Maraka Quarter, and Sher Shah Colony.
Additionally, four centres in Kasur, seven in Sheikhupura, and one in Nankana Sahib have also been marked as sensitive.
Around 250,000 candidates are expected to appear in the exams, with a total of 880 examination centres established across the region. The first papers on March 27 will be Arabic, Commercial Geography, and History.
Authorities have announced strict security measures, including the enforcement of Section 144 at all centres. Only registered candidates will be allowed entry after identity verification, and unauthorized individuals will be strictly prohibited.
Moreover, 26 centres will be monitored through CCTV cameras to ensure transparency and prevent malpractice.
The final matric exam will be held on April 16 (Punjabi and Islamic History), while Class 9 exams will commence from April 17.
