The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced that the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025 will be held on October 26 following consultations with university representatives and on the directive of Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal. The exam was originally scheduled for October 5.
The PMDC said that different lead universities will administer the test in each region. University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore will conduct the MDCAT for Punjab. IBA Sukkur will be responsible for Sindh. Khyber Medical University will oversee Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. University of Balochistan Quetta will handle Balochistan. Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University Islamabad will conduct the test for the federal area Azad Jammu and Kashmir Gilgit Baltistan and candidates appearing from Riyadh.
The council confirmed the exam fee at Rs. 9,000 for candidates within Pakistan. Late registration will require payment of Rs. 13,000. Candidates should follow instructions from their designated administering university for registration and test day procedures.
