Messiah as the name suggests was developed as a lifesaving application at Peshawar Civic Hackathon last year and won the second place at the event. The team behind the app has come a long way from programming the prototype at the 2.5 days hackathon to releasing it on the market and finally got selected for attending Oasis 500 Bootcamp in Amman this year. Ebtihaj (Idea Lead) and his teammates Zahid, Mubassir and Bilal will represent Pakistan at the largest tech initiative in the Middle East.
Messiah is a one click emergency application to let your loved ones know about your accident or any other emergency as quickly as possible. As soon as you give a tap on the application screen, your location is send to your specified contacts through a text message to inform them of your distress immediately. Most important feature of all is that it can detect an accident and notify select contacts automatically. This brilliant application was launched in partnership with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Provincial Disaster Management Authority and KP IT Board.
It was no wonder that Messiah got selected for the Oasis500 Bootcamp; they deserved it afterall. Speaking of the bootcamp, Oasis500 is one of the kind entrepreneurship training program in Jordan and MENA region. In addition to providing the training, it helps startups via seed capital investment and grow them through incubation and mentorship program. Oasis500 bootcamp is a week long program which takes the selected startups through several training sessions from pitching the idea to building relationships with the industry partners.
We congratulate Messiah for bagging this opportunity and wish them all the best for setting their feet in the international market.
Messiah will soon be released on Google Play and iTunes, so stay tune to TechJuice for an amazing app review.
