Modern Scanners To Be Installed At These Pakistani Airports

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced the upcoming installation of state-of-the-art scanning machines at major airports across Pakistan, including Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore, in a move aimed at strengthening aviation security and improving passenger convenience.

According to officials, a joint survey conducted by the CAA, Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), and Airports Security Force (ASF) has been completed to identify the most suitable locations for the new equipment. The advanced scanners are expected to speed up luggage screening processes while significantly enhancing overall airport security.

The multi-billion-rupee initiative will play a key role in preventing smuggling and other security threats. Installation work is set to begin soon, starting with Karachi airport, followed by other major airports across the country.

Passengers are likely to experience smoother and faster security checks once the new systems are operational, bringing Pakistan’s airports in line with global best practices.

Officials emphasized that the project underscores the authorities’ commitment to both safety and efficiency, ensuring travelers a secure and hassle-free journey.
