Motorola’s next foldable phone is starting to surface online before its official launch. The upcoming Razr 70 has now appeared on China’s TENAA certification database, offering an early look at several important specifications. The listing suggests that Motorola is preparing another premium clamshell device with upgraded hardware.
The device is registered on TENAA under the model number XT2657-2. According to the certification details, the Razr 70 will feature a 6.9-inch OLED main display with a resolution of 1080 × 2640 pixels. The foldable phone will also include a 3.63-inch OLED cover display. This external screen carries a resolution of 1056 × 1066 pixels, which should help users access notifications and quick features without opening the phone.
TENAA has not revealed the exact chipset powering the device. However, the listing confirms an octa-core processor running at 2.75GHz. Motorola may pair this processor with multiple memory options. The certification indicates configurations with up to 18GB of RAM and as much as 1TB of internal storage.
The camera system also appears to receive a strong upgrade. The Razr 70 will reportedly feature a dual 50MP rear camera setup. Meanwhile, a 32MP selfie camera sits inside the inner flexible display. The second 50MP rear sensor is expected to function as a telephoto camera. The listing also mentions support for 3x optical zoom, which should improve zoom photography.
Motorola seems to focus on everyday usability as well. The phone will likely include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for quick unlocking. In addition, the device will use a dual-battery system with a combined capacity of around 4,500mAh.
The TENAA certification also provides details about the device’s design. According to the source, the Razr 70 measures 7.2mm in thickness and weighs 188 grams. These dimensions suggest that Motorola plans to keep the foldable phone slim and lightweight.
Motorola may officially introduce the Razr 70 and Razr 70 Ultra next month. The timing aligns with the company’s previous schedule, since the Razr 60 lineup debuted in April last year. If that pattern continues, the new foldable phones could arrive very soon.
