Murree Launches AI-Powered Safe Tourism App to Protect Visitors

Published by

In a major step toward modernizing public safety, the Murree Police have launched an AI-powered Safe Tourism App designed to improve convenience and security for visitors to the hill station.

Murree District Police Officer Dr. Raza Tanveer described the initiative as a landmark move, integrating technology into traditional policing. The app connects tourists directly with the DPO office and relevant administrative departments through a single platform.

Visitors can instantly access services from police, Rescue 1122, and traffic authorities with just one click. The app also features a dedicated “Virtual Women Police Station” to provide enhanced protection and support for female tourists.

An artificial intelligence-powered live chatbot is available 24/7 to guide and assist visitors, while the “Text to DPO” feature allows tourists to send complaints directly to the Murree DPO via WhatsApp.

Dr. Tanveer emphasized that the Safe Tourism App represents a significant shift from conventional policing, offering a technology-driven system to ensure the safety and well-being of all tourists visiting Murree.
