The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has massively expanded its service network. Citizens can now access vital identity services at over 2,000 e-sahulat franchise locations across Pakistan. This move brings essential database and registration facilities closer to the public, significantly increasing convenience.
According to a NADRA statement, this expansion allows citizens to visit their nearest e-sahulat franchise for key services. You can now renew your Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) or apply for a replacement for a lost identity card at these locations.
Consequently, this initiative reduces the need to visit central NADRA offices. It saves time and makes identity services more accessible for all Pakistanis. You can find a complete list of the nearest e-sahulat franchises at the official NADRA website.
Separately, NADRA has introduced a new facility for obtaining divorce certificates. Citizens can now apply for these certificates from their respective Union Councils directly through the Pak-ID mobile application.
This update complements existing features on the app. Users can already apply for birth, death, and marriage certificates from the comfort of their homes. This eliminates the need for in-person visits to government offices.
To assist users, NADRA has released an explanatory video. It outlines the step-by-step procedure for applying for a divorce certificate through the mobile application.
However, there is a mandatory prerequisite. Applicants must first complete the legal separation process. You must possess a manual divorce certificate issued by the Arbitration Council or Union Council to be eligible for the app-based service.
