NADRA launches a car-facility to get new CNIC for citizens

National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched computerized national identity documents and completion of all the requirements of public registration in remote areas through mobile registration cars. Yes, now citizens don’t need to stand in long queues for hours to get new CNIC, or even renewed.

By the order of Chairman, Usman Yousaf Mobin, NADRA has launched this plan to get further speedy steps towards providing national identity card to individuals who could not get their cards due to long queues. The action was taken by Supreme Court of Pakistan and Election Commision of Pakistan, for the people of rural areas of NADRA Regional Office Punjab, Lahore Region’s districts Lahore, Gujranwala, Narowal, Sialkot, Sheikhopura, Nankana, and Kasur.

The 3-months project is lead by NADRA Punjab Director General, Lahore Region, Syed Saqlain Abbas Bukhari by the name of “Nadra Mobile Registration Car”.

The project was inaugurated by Federal Interior Minister Chaudhary Ahsan Iqbal in a small ceremony.

As the elections are around the corner, the government is taking initiatives to involve people in the voting system and exercise their rights. Owing to which NADRA Mobile Registration Car will serve as a hassle-free means of getting registered.

This step will further empower the people of Pakistan.
