Star Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah has confirmed his official social media account was briefly hacked before being successfully recovered shortly afterwards.
The right-arm pacer said his account on X was compromised for a short period, before access was restored and control regained without further complications.
In a message Naseem Shah wrote, “This account of Naseem was recently hacked but now recovered successfully.”
However, social media reports claimed the fast bowler retweeted the PCB official post during the PSL opening game, where the board officially welcomed Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz.
Social media reports said that in response to the PCB tweet, Naseem Shah reportedly wrote, “Why is she treated like a queen at Lords?” which was deleted minutes later.
The Dir-born cricketer will represent the newly added franchise Rawalpindiz in the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League this season.
Naseem Shah was signed by Rawalpindiz for Rs86.5 million, making it the highest bid of the player auction.
In Test cricket, the right-arm pacer has played 20 matches, taking 60 wickets, with best innings figures of five for 31 and match figures of six for 85.
Across 34 ODIs and 37 T20Is, the 23-year-old has claimed 92 wickets, recording best figures of five for 33 and three for 21, demonstrating consistent effectiveness.
