National Forensic Agency Announces Charges for Data extraction and Analysis

The National Forensic Agency will now charge fees for forensic services in investigation cases, covering all institutions and digital forensic examinations nationwide.

Approved by the Ministry of Interior, fees will depend on the type of device, the analysis required, and the complexity and nature of each forensic procedure conducted.

According to the notification, extracting data from locked or unlocked Android and iPhone devices will cost Rs2,500 per case, while retrieval from damaged mobile phones costs Rs25.

Extracting information from smartwatches and classic mobile phones will cost Rs2,000 per case, and obtaining data from SIM cards is set at Rs1,000 per case.

Forensic analysis of videos, audio recordings, and images will cost Rs2,000 per case, while extracting data from hard disks or memory devices will cost Rs3,000 per case.

Data recovery from RAID systems will be charged Rs5,000 per case, and retrieving information from damaged hard disks or memory devices will cost Rs3,000 per case.

A complete forensic analysis and report will cost Rs10,000 per case, while expert testimony in court will also cost Rs10,000, and all relevant organizations have been informed of these charges.
