Pakistan’s startup ecosystem is showing strong growth, with National Incubation Center (NIC) startups raising Rs31.6 billion from local and international investors, official data from the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication (MoITT) shows.
The NIC program, managed by the Ignite–National Technology Fund under MoITT, is Pakistan’s largest public-sector innovation platform. It operates in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Hyderabad, Faisalabad, and Rawalpindi.
Since its inception, NICs have incubated over 1,990 startups, generated Rs27 billion in revenue, and created more than 185,000 jobs across the country. The centers provide a full incubation ecosystem, including mentorship, investor connections, business development training, modern co-working spaces, and international exposure.
These initiatives have helped local startups scale into globally competitive technology ventures, driving innovation and supporting Pakistan’s expanding digital economy.
