NCCIA Arrests TikTokers Over Videos Targeting Punjab CM

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested three TikTokers from Sargodha for allegedly posting abusive videos targeting Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Officials confirmed the suspects were detained and their mobile phones recovered.

According to the FIR filed by Sub-Inspector Amer Sultan, the accused, identified as Ahad Abbas, Badar Zaman, and Qasim Ali, uploaded what he described as ‘unethical’ content on TikTok, using abusive language against the Punjab chief minister.

An NCCIA spokesperson said the three individuals were taken into custody in Sargodha, and their mobile phones were seized as part of the investigation. The arrests were made under cybercrime laws that seek to curb offensive and unlawful activity on digital platforms.

Authorities noted that further legal proceedings will follow against the suspects in line with relevant regulations. The NCCIA reaffirmed its commitment to monitoring online spaces and taking strict action against those misusing social media to spread abusive or unethical content.
