NETSOL Technologies Secures PKR 500 Million World Bank-Funded Contract with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government

NETSOL Technologies Limited (PSX: NETSOL) has signed a landmark PKR 500 million agreement with the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to launch the next phase of the province’s Paperless Government Project, funded by the World Bank.

The company announced the development in a formal disclosure to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), stating that the new phase will build on the success of Phase I, which digitized summaries for the Chief Minister, cabinet workflows, and other core administrative processes.

According to NETSOL, the latest phase will “scale automation and secure inter-agency integrations to deliver faster decisions and stronger auditability.” The initiative aims to expand digital governance throughout KP by improving transparency, accountability, and efficiency in government operations.

The project represents a major step forward in Pakistan’s digital transformation agenda, emphasizing the role of public-private partnerships in enabling technological modernization at the provincial level.

NETSOL’s previous work under the Paperless Government Project was lauded for successfully introducing digital file movement and cabinet decision tracking systems, helping KP set a precedent for other provinces to follow. The World Bank’s continued funding underscores international confidence in Pakistan’s digital governance reforms.
