National Highway Authority (NHA) has withdrawn its earlier notification revising toll rates, confirming the decision through an official document issued on 3 April 2026.
The Finance Wing of the authority released the withdrawal notice, referencing the earlier notification dated 1 April 2026, which had announced revised toll charges.
The document stated the previous toll revision notification was cancelled with immediate effect, following approval granted by the competent authority overseeing the NHA.
The authority clarified that the revised toll structure announced earlier will not be implemented, and existing toll rates will continue across highways and motorways.
The move comes after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed withdrawal of the proposed 25 percent quarterly toll tax increase, offering immediate relief to commuters and transporters.
Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan explained the decision was taken considering the prevailing economic situation, emphasizing the commitment to easing financial pressures.
