New Subject Streams Introduced For Grade 9 Students In Rawalpindi Schools

RAWALPINDI: Starting from the 2025–26 academic year, all government and private schools in Rawalpindi will offer six new subject streams for Grade 9 admissions. Students will receive comprehensive information about these options alongside their admission forms.




Those moving from Grade 8 to Grade 9 have been given three days to consult with their parents and finalize their subject selection. Classes for these new streams will begin on April 11.

The newly introduced subject groups include Natural Sciences, Computer Science, Health Science, Agriculture, Fashion Designing, and Arts.

Each stream will have five core subjects: Translation of the Quran, English, Urdu, Islamiat, and Pakistan Studies.

  • The Natural Science stream will include Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

  • The Computer Science stream will feature Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

  • The Health Science stream will cover Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Health Science.

  • The Agriculture stream will focus on Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Agricultural Science.
