Nishat Motors Prepares to Unveil New Hybrid Vehicle in Pakistan

Nishat Motors is set to expand its electric and hybrid vehicle lineup in Pakistan with the introduction of the JAECOO J5 hybrid crossover. Following the launch of three new models earlier this year, the J5 aims to strengthen the company’s position in the growing hybrid vehicle market.

The company entered Pakistan in August with two electric SUVs, the JAECOO J6 and OMODA E5, followed by the locally assembled JAECOO J7 PHEV in October. With global plans for a 2026 rollout in South Africa, Pakistan is expected to be among the first markets to receive the hybrid version of the J5.

Specifications and Features

The J5 will feature a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine paired with a hybrid powertrain. The international model offers 156 horsepower, 230 Nm of torque, a 2620 mm wheelbase, and 18-inch wheels. Safety features include six airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, a 540-degree camera system, and TPMS.

Convenience highlights include leather seating, electric front seats, a moonroof, a power tailgate, dual zone climate control, and a 13.2-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Competitive pricing, a hallmark of Nishat Motors, is expected to influence the J5’s market performance in Pakistan.
