Nothing Unveils Phone (3a) Series with Upgraded Cameras & Snapdragon 7s Gen 3

Nothing has officially introduced its latest mid-range smartphones—the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro. Both models share the same core hardware, but the Pro variant brings enhanced camera capabilities, a refined design, and additional features.

Nothing Phone (3a) Pro

The Phone (3a) Pro features a 6.77-inch OLED display, shielded by Panda Glass. It boasts 1,300 nits peak brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 10-bit color depth for vibrant visuals. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, with memory options varying by region—8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB.

Camera upgrades are a key highlight. The main sensor is a 50MP (1/1.56″) lens with an f/1.88 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). Complementing this is a 50MP periscope telephoto lens (1/1.95″) with 3x optical zoom, capable of 6x hybrid zoom thanks to the TrueLens 3.0 engine and AI enhancements. An 8MP ultrawide camera rounds out the rear setup.

On the front, users get a 50MP (1/2.76″) f/2.2 selfie camera.

A 5,000mAh battery fuels the device, supporting 50W fast charging, which restores 50% charge in just 19 minutes.

Other notable features include:

  • Nothing Glyph Interface for customizable LED notifications.
  • IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
  • Essential Key under the power button, allowing quick access to important functions.
  • 3 major OS updates and 6 years of security patches, launching with NothingOS 3.1 (based on Android 15).

The Phone (3a) Pro is priced at £449 / $459 / €459 / PKR 160,787 for the 12GB/256GB version in most markets. Available in Grey and Black, pre-orders start on March 11.

Nothing Phone (3a)

The Nothing Phone (3a) shares the same 6.77-inch OLED screen and Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset as the Pro version, with memory configurations reaching up to 12GB/256GB.

The primary difference in the Nothing Phone (3a) lies in its camera setup. While the 50MP main sensor (f/1.88) remains unchanged, the 3x periscope telephoto lens has been replaced with a 50MP 2x zoom camera (1/2.74″). The ultrawide camera remains at 8MP, and the front camera has been downgraded to a 32MP (f/2.2) sensor.

Battery life and charging speeds are identical to the Pro model, featuring a 5,000mAh battery with 50W fast wired charging. Additional features include IP64 dust and water resistance, Essential Key functionality, and a commitment to 3 major OS updates along with 6 years of security patches.

Global pricing for the Nothing Phone (3a) is as follows: the 8GB/128GB model is priced at £329 / €329 / PKR 117,815, while the 12GB/256GB variant costs £379 / $379 / €379 / PKR 135,720.

The device will be available in Black, White, and Blue, although the Blue variant will not be sold in the US. Pre-orders begin on March 4 via Nothing’s official website in most markets.
