Islamabad: The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) has secured the 127th position worldwide in Engineering and Technology in the QS Subject Rankings 2025, marking a significant achievement in global higher education rankings. The university has achieved an outstanding 17-position improvement in the rankings making it stand stronger as a research and academic excellence leader.
NUST earns its first international Top-200 place in four discipline fields such as Computer Science along with Mathematics and Chemical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. The institution obtained superior academic rankings in 11 unique topic areas combined with successful maintenance of places in its existing five subject areas.
NUST’s academic advancement extends far beyond its engineering and technological disciplines. The university continues to exhibit tremendous growth throughout a wide range of academic subjects. The university’s ranking in Natural Sciences increased by 72 points worldwide to rank 322nd along with Social Sciences and Management having a 39-spot development to achieve 361st position. The university demonstrates expanding research significance across numerous academic fields with these ranking results.
NUST maintains its multidisciplinary profile via its recognition in all five major academic categories because Architecture/Built Environment joined the QS rankings this year.
