OGRA Announces Reduction in LPG Price

Published by

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a slight reduction in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices, issuing an official notification outlining revised rates applicable.

According to the notification, the LPG price has been reduced by Rs0.21 per kilogram, bringing the new official rate to Rs225.84 per kilogram across the country.

Following this adjustment, the cost of an 11.8-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder has been lowered by Rs2.52, setting the updated consumer price at Rs2,664.88.

Officials said the revised prices will be implemented nationwide in line with the regulator’s periodic market-based calculations governing liquefied petroleum gas pricing adjustments.

The latest cut follows a January 31, 2026 decision when OGRA increased LPG prices by Rs6.37 per kilogram, raising the official rate to Rs226.6 per kilogram.

After that earlier hike, the price of an 11.8-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder had risen by Rs75.21 to Rs2,667.40, before the newly announced reduction slightly lowered rates again.
