OnePlus has started rolling out the stable ColorOS 17 update for the OnePlus 15. The update carries build number CPH2745_17.0.0.102(EX01) and arrives ahead of the company’s previously announced schedule.
The rollout follows OnePlus’ July announcement that eligible devices would switch from OxygenOS to ColorOS with the Android 17 update across all regions. However, the stable release is currently limited to India, with no confirmed timeline for other markets.
ColorOS 17 introduces a redesigned interface with new lighting effects and smoother animations. These changes are powered by a new Luminous Rendering Engine. The update also refreshes the lock screen, quick settings, and notification drawer.
OnePlus has also upgraded its Laminar Flow Engine to reduce lag when memory usage is high. The system aims to keep important apps running in the background, improving overall performance.
The update brings several new AI features as well. Mind Pilot now includes an Agent mode that can independently handle complex tasks, including organizing photos and files. Meanwhile, OSee AI adds document scanning, while a new Translate app expands the software’s translation tools.
ColorOS 17 also introduces AI-based face-swap detection during video calls and voice detection for scam calls. In addition, users can play audio from multiple apps simultaneously. The complete list of changes is available in the official changelog.
Notably, OnePlus’ global ColorOS 17 rollout schedule listed October 29 for the OnePlus 15. The Indian release has therefore arrived a few days earlier than expected. However, OnePlus has yet to announce when users outside India will receive the stable update. For now, the rollout remains limited to Indian OnePlus 15 owners.
