The OnePlus 16 is still months away, with a launch expected in Q4 2026. Even so, early leaks have started to surface. As always, these details should be taken cautiously. Still, the rumored hardware paints a bold picture.
According to current reports, the phone may feature a flat BOE X5 OLED display with a 1220p resolution. It could also support a 240Hz refresh rate. If that happens, it would stand among the fastest displays in any smartphone.
OnePlus may use a Pro version of Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon Elite Gen 6 chipset. The chip is rumored to reach clock speeds of up to 6GHz. It is expected to pair with LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. However, the storage will be non-expandable.
Battery capacity could be another standout feature. The OnePlus 16 is tipped to include a massive 9,000 mAh battery. It may support 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Camera hardware also looks ambitious. The device could feature two 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 sensors. One would serve as the main camera, while the other would power the periscope telephoto lens. A new ultrawide camera is also rumored, although details remain unknown.
Additional features may include an Ultrasonic 2.0 fingerprint scanner under the display, dual coaxial speakers, and a 0916R vibration motor. It is still early, and plans can change.
