OnePlus is setting the stage for its next performance-focused launch, and the countdown is almost over. On January 8, the company will lift the curtain on the Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V, after teasing key details through official specs and short videos earlier this week.
The latest confirmation may be the most eye-catching yet. Both phones pack a massive 9,000 mAh battery, a figure that stands out even in today’s crowded market. At the same time, OnePlus revealed a design detail that reflects its priorities. The Turbo 6 camera island rises only 1.7 mm from the back panel, keeping the profile nearly flat.
It is not fully flush like some RedMagic designs, but it comes impressively close. Because the Turbo series does not focus on advanced camera hardware, OnePlus can minimize the camera bump. Even so, the result feels like a quiet design win.
The Turbo 6 runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. Meanwhile, the Turbo 6V relies on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. This split clearly separates the two models by performance tier.
The displays follow the same pattern. The Turbo 6 features a 165Hz refresh rate screen, while the Turbo 6V settles for 144Hz. Both still target users who care about smooth visuals.
Color options also differ between the two. OnePlus will sell the Turbo 6 in silver, black, and green. The Turbo 6V will arrive in blue, black, and white.
