OnePlus has officially introduced the OnePlus Nord 6 as its latest budget-friendly smartphone. The device brings a notable focus on battery life and performance. Interestingly, it is a rebranded version of the OnePlus Turbo 6, which is currently limited to India. However, it is still unclear if the phone will launch in other global markets.
The company has launched the phone in three color options: Fresh Mint, Pitch Black, and Quick Silver. In addition, the device is offered in two memory configurations, giving users some flexibility based on their needs.
The OnePlus Nord 6 features a modern and durable design with a slim profile. It measures 162.5 x 77.5 x 8.5 mm and weighs 217 grams. The phone also comes with strong protection standards. It carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Moreover, it includes MIL-STD-810H certification, which improves durability in tough conditions.
On the front, a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display is placed to deliver a premium viewing experience. The screen offers a resolution of 1272 x 2772 pixels. It also supports a 165Hz refresh rate, which ensures smooth scrolling and better gaming performance. Additionally, the display can reach a peak brightness of 3,600 nits, making it easier to use outdoors under bright sunlight.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. This places it in a strong position within its segment. The device is available in two variants, including 8GB RAM with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. Both options are designed to handle multitasking and daily use without issues.
The phone runs on Android 16, along with OxygenOS 16 on top. This combination provides a clean and smooth user experience. The software is expected to offer better optimization and improved system performance.
In terms of cameras, the OnePlus Nord 6 includes a dual rear setup. The main camera is a 50MP Sony Lytia 600 sensor with optical image stabilization. It is designed to capture sharp and stable photos. Alongside it, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with the OmniVision OV08F sensor is included for wider shots. On the front, a 32MP camera handles selfies and video calls with clarity.
Battery performance is one of the strongest highlights of the device. The phone packs a massive 9,000mAh battery, which is larger than most smartphones in this category. It also supports 80W wired fast charging for quick power-ups. In addition, 27W reverse wired charging is included to charge other devices.
The pricing has also been set competitively. The 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at $422. Meanwhile, the 12GB + 256GB version is priced at $454.
