OpenAI’s Sora App Expands to Android Devices After iOS Launch

OpenAI has expanded access to its Sora video-generation app, bringing it to Android after its iOS debut last month.

The app is now available for download on the Google Play Store, marking its official rollout for Android users. At launch, Sora can be used in Canada, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and the United States, with more regions expected to follow.

Sora allows users to create videos directly from text prompts or images, making AI-powered video generation more accessible. The app also includes collaboration tools, multiple video styles, and the ability to remix others’ creations. In addition, users can explore community features to share and discover new content.

Recently, OpenAI removed the invite-only restriction in select regions, allowing users to access Sora immediately and start creating videos without waiting for an invite code.
