Pakistan’s automotive industry is set to take center stage this September as the Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts & Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM) announced the 21st Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2026. The three-day exhibition will be held from September 18 to 20 at the International Expo Centre, Lahore, bringing together key players from across the country’s auto sector under the theme “Industrial Pakistan.”

Organized by PAAPAM, the Pakistan Auto Show has grown over the years into the country’s largest and most recognized automotive and auto parts exhibition. It is known for drawing a wide range of exhibitors, including auto parts manufacturers, vehicle makers, and allied industries, while also attracting a large public turnout each year.

This year’s theme reflects Pakistan’s increasing focus on industrial development, local manufacturing and technology-led growth. According to organizers, the exhibition will showcase advancements across the automotive value chain, from traditional manufacturing to newer mobility solutions.

Speaking at the announcement, Salman Saleem, Convener of the PAPS 2026 Organizing Committee, said the upcoming show aims to create opportunities for business growth and innovation within the industry. He noted that participation from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), auto parts producers and supporting industries is expected to be strong, with a focus on collaboration and technology sharing.

Pakistan’s automotive sector has expanded steadily over the past decade, supported by local production of cars, motorcycles, tractors, trucks and buses. Alongside conventional internal combustion engines, manufacturers are gradually exploring electric vehicles, hydrogen-based technologies and alternative fuels. PAPS 2026 is expected to highlight these shifts and offer a platform for discussion between manufacturers, investors and technology partners.

Industry representatives believe events like the Pakistan Auto Show play an important role in strengthening linkages within the sector and presenting Pakistan as a serious manufacturing destination. With international participation also anticipated, the exhibition is seen as a chance to attract foreign interest and investment.
