Pakistan Finalizes Dual Nationality Agreement with Germany

Pakistan has officially included Germany in its dual nationality arrangements, allowing Pakistani-origin German residents to retain their Pakistani citizenship while acquiring German nationality.

The announcement, made by the Embassy of Pakistan in Berlin, clarifies that Pakistan-origin German residents applying for German nationality are no longer required to renounce their Pakistani citizenship. In addition, the embassy confirmed that procedures for reclaiming Pakistani nationality will soon be shared for those who had previously renounced it in order to acquire German citizenship.
