The Government of Pakistan, through the Ignite National Technology Fund, has announced a landmark initiative to train 2,500 youth in SAP certifications, aiming to ensure that 80% of participants secure employment locally or abroad. This program is part of a broader strategy to position Pakistan as a global hub of skilled IT professionals.
The SAP Skills Development and Employment Facilitation Program will be conducted in two batches: 1,000 trainees in the first batch and 1,500 in the second, with training centers in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi. Beyond SAP technical skills, the program includes soft skills training, CV building, interview coaching, and introductory language courses in German and Arabic to enhance international employability.
Ignite has partnered with a German organization to map global SAP demand and facilitate job placements in countries including Saudi Arabia, Germany, EU nations, Japan, the Middle East, and the Americas. The initiative provides a structured legal pathway for employment, discouraging illegal migration. Trainees will pay a nominal commitment fee while the selected contractor ensures certification completion and job placement support.
The program will be executed by authorized SAP partners selected through a competitive process. Strict transparency, anti-corruption measures, and compliance monitoring by a Project Review Committee including Ignite, SAP Pakistan, the contractor, and the German partner will ensure high standards. The second batch’s continuation will depend on the outcomes of the first batch, including certification success and job placements.
This 25-month initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s digital vision, offering thousands of Pakistani youth access to high-value global careers while enhancing the country’s IT workforce export potential.
