Pakistan Railways Raises Fares On Rawalpindi To Lahore Route

Pakistan Railways has launched another upgraded passenger train on the Lahore–Narowal route to improve travel comfort and service quality. The newly enhanced service aims to offer better facilities, punctual timings, and a smoother journey for daily commuters.

The upgraded Narowal Passenger Train was formally inaugurated at Lahore Railway Station, where officials offered prayers for the progress of Pakistan Railways and decorated the train with colorful garlands. During the ceremony, the Divisional Superintendent inspected the coaches and interacted with passengers to gather feedback on onboard facilities and overall travel experience.

The train departed Lahore on schedule at 7:15 am and reached Narowal at 10:05 am, stopping at Badami Bagh, Shahdara Bagh, Kala Khatai, Narang, Baddomalhi, Raya Khas, and Pejowali. For the return journey, the train leaves Narowal at 5:00 pm and arrives in Lahore at 7:40 pm, maintaining a total travel time of two hours and 40 minutes.

Pakistan Railways has been gradually upgrading passenger trains across major and regional routes as part of its broader service improvement drive. The Narowal Passenger Train has been equipped with improved cleanliness standards, better lighting, and enhanced travel facilities to make daily commuting more comfortable. The service operates with 10 passenger coaches, catering to a large number of passengers traveling between Lahore and Narowal.

Officials say these upgrades reflect Pakistan Railways’ commitment to restoring passenger trust and improving public transport services across the country.
