Pakistan seeks Chinese cooperation in science and technology sector: Imran Khan

While admiring the accomplishments done by the neighboring country China in poverty alleviation in Pakistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Pakistan is also seeking Chinese cooperation in science and technology sector to excel in the modern era.

These remarks were made by Imran Khan during his recent visit to China in a ceremony hosted by China-Pakistan Friendship Association and International Cultural Communication Center in Beijing. PM Khan endorsed that CPEC has diversified the relations between both countries. As he stated;

“CPEC, being a part of the Belt and Road Initiative, has proved to be a blessing for Pakistan as it gave the country an opportunity to catch up with other nations. The mega project has helped not only attract investment from China but also other countries.”

Prime Minister also shed light on the second phase of the corridor that earlier the project focused on road infrastructure and energy projects but now the cooperation will be extended in the fields of agriculture, science, technology, and other industries.

Imran Khan also said that Pakistan is seeking Chinese investment to establish special economic zones (SEZs) and also to reallocate certain industries in the country under CPEC.

PM Khan emphasized that Pakistan is also trying to establish peace and stability in the region in order to stabilize the country’s economy. He also discussed several geographical issues and Pakistan’s relations with other neighboring countries.
