Pakistani Startup Myco Wins Meet the Drapers, Secures Investment from Draper Associates

Pakistani startup Myco has made a significant mark on the international stage by winning the globally recognized startup competition Meet the Drapers. The victory also secured them investment from the prestigious Silicon Valley venture capital firm Draper Associates, led by renowned investor Tim Draper.

Founded by Umair Masoom Usmani and Somair Rizvi, Myco is a blockchain-based content streaming platform focused on reshaping digital media through decentralization. The “watch & earn” model of the platform offers content creators enhanced content administration, as well as increased visibility and income. The Myco platform’s blockchain integration enables users and creators to directly access financial benefits based on their viewership and engagement levels.

The best startups that competed in the final round of Meet the Drapers were subjected to numerous evaluation phases. Survival Day was a component of the competition, which required participants to complete outdoor physical challenges before presenting their ideas to three generations of venture capitalists: Bill Draper, Tim Draper, and Adam Draper. The public voted Myco as the #1 company, and both assessors and audience members praised the company for its exceptional performance.

The culmination of a week-long entrepreneurial development program at Draper University in San Francisco was a concluding presentation, which was followed by access to international business connections and overseas startup mentorship networks.
