Pakistan’s NITB Showcases Digital Transformation at GITEX 2025

For the first time, the National Information Technology Board (NITB), under the Ministry of IT & Telecom, is participating in GITEX 2025. The event is one of the world’s largest tech exhibitions, bringing together global innovators, companies, and governments.

NITB is presenting several flagship digital platforms driving governance reforms. Among them, e-Office stands out. It offers a secure, paperless system that improves efficiency and transparency. The platform already operates across multiple federal ministries and departments.

NITB is also showcasing the Cabinet Portal, PakApp, and Government-to-Government (G2G) and Government-to-Citizen (G2C) services. These tools streamline workflows and make citizen services faster and more accessible.

In health, the One Patient, One ID initiative takes center stage. It aims to create a unified patient identification system to improve healthcare access and data management nationwide.

Progress Backed by Policy and Innovation

Pakistan’s presence at GITEX reflects years of steady digital progress. In recent years, the government has accelerated digitization to enhance service delivery, reduce delays, and boost transparency. NITB has played a key role by building and deploying secure digital systems for public institutions.

Adding to this momentum, Mr. Abu Bakar, CEO of the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), will speak at GITEX Global on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the AI Stage, Hall 10. His session, “Driving Global Investments in Pakistan’s IT Sector,” will highlight how policy reforms, AI readiness, and deep-tech innovation are positioning Pakistan as a prime investment destination.

Pakistan’s Digital Vision Goes Global

Federal Minister for IT & Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, is also representing Pakistan’s digital vision at the event. She is engaging in key conversations on AI, future connectivity, and emerging technologies, ensuring Pakistan contributes to shaping the global digital economy.

Through this strong presence at GITEX 2025, Pakistan aims to attract international collaborations, share its digital governance journey, and strengthen its position as a rising global tech hub.
