As Ramadan 2026 approaches, passport authorities have announced revised office hours across the country to ease public access during the holy month. While public dealing hours will change, administrative operations will continue on the regular schedule.
According to the official notification, the Directorate General of Immigration & Passports has adjusted service timings for Regional Passport Offices, Executive Passport Offices, and Passport Processing Counters.
However, these Ramadan timings will not apply to selected high-capacity centers. Facilities operating under the National Database and Registration Authority Mega Centers will continue to follow their own operational schedules.
In short, authorities have reduced public service hours for Ramadan 2026 while keeping internal operations unchanged. This approach ensures continued passport processing with limited disruption during the holy month.
