PCB Domestic Tournaments Postponed Due to Pak-India Tensions

KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the suspension of several PCB domestic tournaments due to the worsening security situation in the country amid rising tensions with India, according to media reports.

The PCB confirmed that the President’s Trophy Grade, the Regional Intra-District Challenge Cup, and the Inter-District U19 One-Day Tournament have all been postponed effective immediately. The board stated that these PCB domestic tournaments will resume from the same stage once the security situation improves.

However, media reports indicated that the National Women’s T20 Tournament currently underway in Karachi will continue as planned. Since the entire women’s tournament is being conducted at a single venue, logistical and security risks are significantly reduced, allowing it to proceed.

Earlier, the PCB had also suspended the remaining eight matches of the 10th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL). This decision was made in response to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.

The PCB later confirmed that the outstanding PSL matches would be relocated to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), citing growing concerns about the possibility of an intensified conflict between the two neighboring nations.
