Peshawar Zalmi have confirmed their direct signing for Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 after Afghanistan wicketkeeper Rahmanullah Gurbaz officially withdrew from the upcoming edition.
Announcing the development on social media, the former champions said they have signed Australian all-rounder Aaron Hardie as a direct signing ahead of the first-ever auction.
“After much anticipation, we are proud to announce Australian all-rounder Aaron Hardie as our direct signing for PSL 11,” the franchise wrote on social media.
Aaron Hardie has represented Australia in both white-ball formats and is also a key all-rounder for the Perth Scorchers, while he was picked by Punjab Kings for the 2025 IPL season.
Earlier today, the franchise also announced former West Indies all-rounder Ottis Gibson as head coach, while former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq was named batting coach.
Gibson arrives with extensive international coaching credentials, having guided West Indies to the 2012 T20 World Cup title during his tenure as head coach between 2010 and 2014.
Beyond West Indies, he served two spells as the bowling coach for England, later worked with Bangladesh in 2020, and held South Africa’s head coach role from 2017 to 2019 period.
Misbah led Islamabad United to the PSL title in 2016, later representing Peshawar Zalmi in the 2018 edition, playing three matches for the franchise before he announced retirement.
