PITB Launches Online Fancy Vehicle Number Plates Auction

LAHORE: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), in collaboration with the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department, has officially opened registration for the fancy vehicle number plates auction, now accessible through its e-Auction App and Web Portal.

Interested vehicle owners can register until April 30 to participate in the online fancy vehicle number plates auction and bid for their preferred motorcycle or car number plate. This digital auction platform offers a seamless and transparent process, enabling users to join the bidding from the comfort of their homes.

The e-Auction system has been designed to promote fair competition and public access. It also displays the details of successful bidders directly on the app for complete transparency.

PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “The e-Auction system not only promotes transparency but also plays a crucial role in eliminating corruption and the agent mafia.” He further highlighted that the digital approach ensures hassle-free participation, empowering citizens to secure their desired vehicle numbers conveniently.
