The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has announced an extension for admissions to medical and dental colleges across Pakistan for the academic session 2025-26. The new deadline for completing admissions is now March 31, 2026, applying to both public and private institutions.
The decision was taken during a PM&DC meeting on February 10, 2026, and formalized in a notification issued on February 19. All admissions must be conducted in strict compliance with the PM&DC Admissions Regulations, 2025, along with any subsequent council directives.
The council emphasized that no further extensions will be granted beyond the March 31 deadline. The notification has been circulated to vice chancellors, principals, deans of recognized medical and dental colleges, and relevant council departments to ensure proper implementation.
