Police Official Holding Cash for TikToker Sparks Public Outrage

A viral video showing a police official holding a tray loaded with cash for TikToker Kashif Zameer has stirred a storm on social media, raising serious concerns about police decorum and duty.
In the undated video, a man in police uniform is seen standing beside a stage, holding a tray stacked with currency bundles. TikToker Kashif Zameer is seen picking up the cash and dramatically throwing it into the air, as people around him dance to lively Qawwali music. The scene has drawn fierce criticism online, with users questioning the role of the police and what message such acts send about state institutions.
One user, tagging Punjab Police’s official X account, wrote: “Have the officers of @OfficialDPRPP been reduced to just holding trays of cash while TikTokers throw money around?” Another chimed in with, “What could be a greater insult to the uniform entrusted by the public?”

Many pointed out the apparent double standards in police behavior, highlighting incidents where citizens in Kasur were penalized for dancing — only to now see officers assisting in such displays. “Is this what duty looks like now?” one post asked sarcastically.
The public mocking didn’t stop there. “Punjab Police will now also perform such duties,” a user jeered, “A police officer is standing holding currency, and Raeeszada (a wealthy man’s son) is throwing it at a dancer and singer.”

Kashif Zameer, no stranger to controversy, is known for his flashy persona, often seen wearing heavy gold chains and flaunting pet lions. His TikTok profile shows he is the CEO of Chaudhary Textiles, with over 565,000 followers and 13.6 million likes.
This isn’t Zameer’s first time in the headlines. In 2021, he was arrested by the Lahore Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) for allegedly defrauding Turkish actor Engin Altan Duzyatan, best known for playing Ertugrul Ghazi in the hit drama Diriliş: Ertuğrul. Duzyatan accused Zameer of issuing bogus cheques, misusing his name and photos, and exploiting their association for personal gain.
According to reports, the Turkish actor had traveled to Pakistan in December 2020 at Zameer’s invitation to sign a contract. It later emerged that Zameer failed to honor payments and used the partnership to promote himself illegally.
While no official statement has yet been released by the Punjab Police, the video continues to circulate widely, amplifying questions about the dignity of uniformed institutions and their involvement in private social spectacles.
