PPSC Releases Syllabus for Punjab Jail Department Exams

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has issued a corrigendum to Advertisement No. 22/2025, announcing the syllabus and details for the upcoming recruitment exams in the Punjab Prisons Department. The corrigendum is now available on the official PPSC website.

This recruitment drive aims to fill multiple posts, including:

Deputy Superintendent Jail (BS-17): 5 posts
Lady Deputy Superintendent Jail (BS-17): 1 post
Assistant Superintendent Jail (BS-16): 90 posts (including 4 for minorities)
Lady Assistant Superintendent Jail (BS-16): 4 posts

All positions will be filled on a regular basis, reflecting the government’s focus on strengthening prison administration in Punjab.

Exam Syllabus and Structure

The written test will carry 500 marks and may be conducted in two phases:

Candidates must score 40% in each paper and 50% overall to qualify.
Shortlisting for interviews will follow a 1:5 ratio.
Negative marking applies in MCQs (0.25 deduction per wrong answer).
