The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has announced its 2026 auction rules, outlining player base prices, bidding increments, and a structured multi round process for all franchises across four categories.
As per the details, Platinum category players will enter the auction with a base price of 4.2 crore rupees, and franchises must increase bids by at least 15 lakh rupees during each competitive round.
Diamond category cricketers have a base price of 2.2 crore rupees, while each subsequent bid must increase by a minimum of 10 lakh rupees according to auction regulations for the upcoming edition.
Gold category players will feature in the auction with incremental bids starting at 5 lakh rupees, allowing all franchises to compete strategically for top-performing cricketers in various positions.
Silver category cricketers will be auctioned with a minimum bid increase of 2.5 lakh rupees, ensuring all emerging players and mid level talents have opportunities to join PSL 11 squads.
The auction will begin with Round 1, in which all Platinum players are presented for bidding, and all eight franchises are required to follow the set minimum increment for each bid in the first ever auction.
Round 2 will feature Diamond and Gold category players, with franchises continuing to follow the category-specific bidding rules to secure their preferred players efficiently.
In Round 3, franchises will select remaining batters, bowlers, wicketkeepers, and allrounders, following the prescribed bidding system to strengthen their squad balance before the final stage.
Round 4 will present all leftover players from every category, allowing franchises to complete their squad selection and finalize their team composition ahead of the PSL season.
Each bidding line represents a new competition, and every auction round follows clear incremental rules, ensuring transparency and fairness while allowing franchises to assemble competitive squads.
