PSL 11 Excitement Dampened by Ticket Issues

Published by

The eleventh season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), scheduled from 26 March to 3 May 2026, promises the biggest edition yet with record expansion, new teams, and fresh competitive drama.

For the first time in its history, PSL 11 will feature eight franchises, two more than previous editions, marking a significant expansion that has captivated fans and boosted global interest.

Matches across the expanded PSL schedule will take place in six Pakistani cities, including Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad and Peshawar, ensuring a wide national footprint.

Despite the excitement, ticketing has emerged as a major point of contention for supporters struggling to secure entry to stadiums well before the opening match.

Fans have reported significant problems with bookings, including technical issues, delayed deliveries, long queues outside offices, and confusion that has dampened early enthusiasm.

Supporters say the current arrangement with TCS has failed to deliver efficient service, with many still awaiting confirmation or receipt of tickets despite timely payments.

Fans argue that earlier platforms like Bookme offered smoother, digital ticketing experiences, allowing fans to enter venues quickly using their mobile phones without stress or uncertainty.

Many fans are now urging the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to reconsider its ticketing partner or mandate TCS to introduce robust digital ticketing systems that respect supporter convenience.

They warn that unless these issues are resolved immediately, the much‑touted “new era” of PSL will feel incomplete for passionate fans across Pakistan.
