The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has confirmed Atif Aslam as the lead singer for the official anthem of its 11th edition ahead of the new season.
The announcement was made through the official social media platforms, describing him as a “legendary voice” while signalling a “new era” for the upcoming edition.
This marks the second time of the renowned singer has performed a PSL anthem, having previously featured in the seventh-season song Agay Dekh alongside Aima Baig.
PSL 11 is scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3, spanning 39 days, with an expanded lineup of eight teams including new franchises Pindiz and Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen.
The tournament will feature 44 matches, with defending champions Lahore Qalandars set to face Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen in the opening match on March 26.
Each team will play 10 group-stage matches during the competition, with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs as part of the tournament’s standard qualification structure.
The final is scheduled to be played at Gaddafi Stadium on May 3, with May 4 reserved as an additional day if required due to any delays.
Matches will be held across six venues, including Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Peshawar, with Faisalabad and Peshawar hosting PSL games for the first time.
The schedule includes six double-headers, three of which will take place in Lahore, while venue allocations assign 15 matches to Gaddafi Stadium and 11 to Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad will host seven matches, while National Bank Stadium in Karachi will stage six, and Multan Cricket Stadium will host four matches during the tournament.
Imran Khan Cricket Stadium is set to host one match on March 28, featuring Peshawar Zalmi against Pindiz as part of the tournament schedule.
